The popular Joo Fixer service expands to new locations

We have been helping Joo Kodit residents with small home fixes since spring 2022. That's when we first began to offer our free Joo Fixer service, which includes putting up pictures and mirrors, installing light fixtures, and connecting washing machines.

"Many people don't own any tools at all, which makes even small tasks like putting up pictures or installing lights difficult for them. It's quite amazing that our residents can order Joo Fixers to do these things for them for free!" says our Joo Fixer Ville-Anton.

The service was first launched in Espoo, Kirkkonummi and Oulu, with Turku added to the list in autumn 2022. Now, in spring 2023, the service has been expanded to Vantaa, Sipoo, Kerava, and Porvoo. Tampere will be up soon, too.

Carefree rental living

The Joo Fixer service makes both moving into a new home and residents' daily lives more carefree, says one of our Joo Fixers, Sami.

"The work of Joo Fixers is really multi-faceted, meaning no two days are the same. We get involved in such a wide variety of things, from helping residents choose the right saucepan for their hob to giving them some practical advice. This is very people-centric work."

According to Joo Fixer Janne, residents have been extremely enthusiastic about the free service.

"It's been great to see how happy the residents have been with our visits. Getting positive feedback always makes our day!" he says.

The Joo Fixer service has changed. From now on, Joo Fixers will continue to support our residents in close collaboration with maintenance companies, making sure everyday living runs smoothly. You’ll see their handiwork in tidy courtyards, inviting shared spaces and an extra boost of Joo community spirit.
