The Joo Kodit apartment blocks are some of the neighbourhood’s very first construction projects.

Lamminrahka

A new, attractive neighbourhood called Lamminrahka is developing on the border of Kangasala and Tampere. The construction of Joo Kodit rental apartments started in late March at two different addresses, Taitajakatu 2 and Mossin Puistokatu 12. The two apartment complexes built by Mangrove will be called Kangasalan Kuningas and Kangasalan Kuningatar

Completed from 2023 to 2024, Kangasalan Kuningas and Kuningatar will comprise a total of 235 Joo Kodit rental apartments from studios to family apartments. The buildings will have the best energy rating A and a heating system combining the sustainability of geothermal heating and the security of district heating.

Lamminrahka is an outdoor enthusiast’s dream

At Lamminrahka the forest and beautiful nature trails are only steps away from your doorstep. Besides the green surroundings, the new community boasts ample local amenities. The Lamminrahka square, shops, restaurants and a school complex that doubles as a recreational space in the evenings will all be within walking distance in the future. A multifaceted sports park and ski trails will delight fitness fans.

The centre of Kangasala can be reached by bus in 15 minutes, and the city of Tampere is not much further away. This allows the residents to enjoy both the diverse attractions of Tampere and the stunning ridge scenery of Kangasala. A tram connection from Lamminrahka to Tampere has also been discussed.
